NYC Locksmith Price Estimator

Publisher: SwiftLocksmith

Extension: NYC Locksmith Price Estimator, version 1.0.1

Privacy contact: info@swiftlocksmith.nyc

Effective date: July 22, 2026

This policy describes how the NYC Locksmith Price Estimator Chrome extension handles information. It covers the extension only. It does not cover this website, our phone line, or any service SwiftLocksmith performs for a customer.

The extension collects no personal data. It transmits nothing. It stores nothing. Everything it does happens locally in the extension popup on your own device.

1. Data we collect

None

The extension does not collect, request, receive, or generate any personal information. Specifically, it does not ask for and does not obtain:

  • Your name, address, email address, or phone number
  • Account credentials or authentication information
  • Payment or financial information
  • Location data, GPS coordinates, or IP-based location
  • Health information
  • Contacts, messages, or files
  • Browsing history, page content, or the URLs of sites you visit
  • Any device or hardware identifier
  • Any user activity or interaction analytics

The extension requests no browser permissions and no host permissions. Its manifest contains no permissions key at all.

2. Data we sell or share

None. The extension collects no personal data, so there is no personal data to sell, rent, trade, license, or transfer to any third party. The extension contains no advertising SDK, no data broker integration, and no affiliate tracking.

3. Your calculator selections are not transmitted

The seven answers you provide in the wizard — service category, specific service, borough, time-of-day window, urgency, job complexity, and likely replacement parts — are held in a plain in-memory JavaScript object inside the popup while it is open.

  • They are never sent anywhere.
  • They are never written to browser storage, localStorage, cookies, IndexedDB, or any file.
  • They are discarded as soon as the popup closes.

If you close the popup and reopen it, the wizard starts over from step one, because nothing was retained.

4. Calculations are performed locally

The price ranges are produced by JavaScript that ships inside the extension package and runs on your own computer. There is no server involved in producing your estimate.

The extension makes no network requests of any kind. It does not contact SwiftLocksmith servers, third-party APIs, content delivery networks, remote font providers, or remote script hosts. Every asset the extension uses is bundled locally in the extension package.

5. We do not track your browsing

The extension has no content scripts and no background service worker. It cannot read, inspect, modify, or record the pages you visit. It has no access to your browsing history, your tabs, your bookmarks, your downloads, or your cookies. It is active only while its popup is open, and only within that popup.

6. No analytics and no advertising trackers

The extension contains no analytics library, no tag manager, no pixel, no beacon, no session recorder, no error-reporting service, and no advertising or retargeting tracker. SwiftLocksmith receives no usage statistics from the extension — not even aggregate counts of how often it is opened.

7. Clipboard

The “Copy estimate” button copies your estimate summary to the system clipboard. This runs only when you click that button.

The extension only writes to the clipboard. It never reads the clipboard. It cannot see anything you have copied elsewhere. The copied text is placed on your own clipboard and is not transmitted to anyone.

8. Links out of the extension

The extension includes two clearly labeled buttons — “Visit official website” and “Request locksmith service” — plus a “Powered by Swift Locksmith” link in the footer. These are ordinary links.

  • Nothing opens automatically. A new tab opens only when you deliberately click a labeled link.
  • The links carry campaign parameters that tell our website analytics that a visit arrived from the extension. These parameters identify the campaign, not you. They contain no personal identifier and no calculator selection.

9. This website is governed by its own policy

Once you leave the extension and land on swiftlocksmith.nyc, you are on a normal website, and this site’s own privacy policy and terms govern that visit. The website may use its own analytics, cookies, or forms, entirely independently of this extension. This extension policy does not describe or control the website’s practices.

If you submit a service request through the contact page, you are giving information to this website, not to the extension.

10. Children

The extension is a general-purpose informational calculator. It collects no data from anyone, including children, because it collects no data at all.

11. Security

Because the extension stores nothing and transmits nothing, there is no user data at rest and no user data in transit associated with it. There is no account, no login, and no database tied to the extension.

12. Legal and regulatory statements

This policy describes SwiftLocksmith’s actual data practices for this extension as of the effective date. SwiftLocksmith makes no claim in this document of certification, audit, seal, or formal compliance determination under any specific privacy law or framework, because no such independent verification has been obtained for this extension. The factual descriptions above stand on their own.

13. Changes to this policy

SwiftLocksmith may update this policy — for example, if a future version of the extension adds a feature that changes how it handles information. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. A version of the extension that begins collecting, storing, or transmitting any data will not be published without this policy being updated first and the Chrome Web Store privacy disclosures being updated to match.
